What our clients say
SANDILE NGUMUZA - 9th place Comrades Marathon
My dream of getting a gold medal at the Comrades Marathon has come true! Although it wasn't easy. It was a tough year for me both financially and with injury. I had to start working to put bread on the table for my family . I then developed an ITB injury on my right leg. Luckily I was helped by Dr Von Hagen and was treated by Nicky Roote. Without their help I wouldn't have started the race at all! I know that I'm not a down-run runner, so I was going to have to wait another 2 yrs for the up run - but I was lucky to have the best physiotherapist by my side. I managed to be ready for the race and got the gold medal I so badly wanted. Thanks to my mum Irene van Eeden for not giving up on me; and Dr Von Hagen and Nicky - they helped me to start and finish the race. They helped me achieve my running goal! |
MARY-ANNE STOTT - Ironman & endurance athlete
Being a very active person for most of my life, I’ve had my fair share of physiotherapists and when it comes to Nicky and her team there is no second choice. They are highly professional and knowledgeable in their field as well as friendly, caring and always available for any questions or reassurance regarding my injuries or rehab. They make me feel more like a friend than a patient! |
GREG LOUW - Springbok Canoeist
Nicky Roote Physio been an essential part of reaching my sporting goals and made it possible to compete at the highest level internationally, with weekly visits to sort out niggles before they become injuries. Nicky and I have spent the last few years working out the limits of my body as well as doing preventative rehabilitation to stay injury free. She has taken the time to understand every aspect of my training and the biomechanics of paddling as well as my bodies specific limits. We have spent hours on sorting out boat seating, posture, paddle size and length for various types of racing, etc. Nicky always goes above and beyond as a physio and puts 110% into every patient. |
